Today a chick came into store and I introduced her to my books...
Her response "Oh, my girfriend at work got it and i'm waiting for her to finish. We pass books around the office all the time."
My response " You can buy right now, two for one"
Her Response "I'mma come back and get it." You know when someone is lying to you. She was.
....Come on people, what's wrong with this picture. Why can't we support each other. I'm all for sharing, but come on now. You got like 15-20 in your office and ya'll can only afford to buy one copy to pass around. SMH. Your bootlegging my work and i am supposed to be happy about it. Not. I get this response all the time people all time. I really don't mind if you share it with A person, but you crossing the line with the double digits. I am trying to be cool about this writing stuff with the economy being the way it is, but when i see you with a 300 dollar purse and you say you passing my book around it blows me. And not in a good way. I am not angry. I'm more disappointed than anything. So again, PASS THE WORD, NOT THE BOOK. AND A SAVE A LIFE...LOL!
I worry that this will happy to me too...and hell yes, that girl was straight up lying to you! The nerve!!
